WHO I AM

Hello! My name is Audrey Rodawig. I am eighteen years old and a freshman at Ball State University. I am a full time student-athlete. I have an open major and swim for the lady cardinals. I was born in Champaign, Illinois. I attended St. Matthews Catholic school and to Centennial High School in Champaign. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love children and I am a big fan of social media. I love to stay connected with people, and social media allows me to do that. I combined these two hobbies of mine into a research question for my English class. "How is the exposure of social media as a pre teen affecting the self-development of children?"

I created this website for my English research project. I love social media and use it all the time. It is a great tool that can be beneficial, but it has many risks, especially for children. I am familiar with the topic and I feel that social media influences children in positive and negative ways. The ages that children are introduced to social media are getting younger and younger. It is important that parents are aware of the risks and keep their children safe and educated. Social media is making a huge mark in the business and communicating world. It is time to use it safely and wisely. Social media is here to stay and it's time we use it to our advantage.
